What We've Been Doing

Since June is almost over I thought I should let you see what we have been up to. We have had a busy month.Carter graduated from Kindergarten. Here he is with most of his class.
Getting his diploma from two of his teachers (not the best picture ever). He had a wonderful year and I couldn't have asked for better teachers.

This is Carter and his favorite teacher, Ms. Dani.

After school got out we went to the Great Wolf Lodge. We love the place and seriously cannot get enough of it. I didn't take very many pictures, because I was busy going on water slides with Carter.

On our trip we visited the Lego Land Discovery Center. It was a lot of fun. The boys loved it. I was impressed with all of the Texas landmarks made out of Lego's (above is the Lego GWL).

There were so many things to do with Lego's (even rides). We will definitely visit there again.
I had to include this picture of Carson and his favorite animal. He LOVES giraffes.

Pictures for My Sister

These are the best pictures I could find of the shirts I made the boys. I made them using my cricut and bleach. Super easy and super cute. I also made one for Madison. Also isn't my little man so handsome in his new glasses? I think so. He hates them :(

Natural Bridges Cavern

Last Saturday I had the day off so Corey and I decided to take the boys to a cave. There are several caves in our area. We chose to take them to the Natural Bridges Cavern. It was soooooo cool. I have never been to a cave before. At first I was kind of nervous but after we got going on the tour I mellowed out. The boys loved it. They wanted to go again right after we finished. We will have to take them to some of the other caves around here.
This is a picture of an underground lake. It has been unusually dry recently so the lake has shrunk to more of a puddle.
I really like this picture Carter took of us, too bad my eyes are closed. This is Carter's favorite picture from the cave. It is a huge pile of bat poo!
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day so I made the boys some shirts to wear. I decorated them with a bleach pen. I got the idea here.

Long Time No Post

Time sure is flying by right now. We are so busy everyday that I can't believe it is already March. It seems like just yesterday was Christmas.

I love the picture with the boys, their cousins, and their GiGi. GiGi celebrated her 96th birthday in January so I made her a throw. Carter and Carson helped too.

My Mom has taught me almost all my sewing skills. She is always there to answer my questions and is really good at explaining thing over the phone.
You should move to Texas. Its warm here.

Carter is doing very well in Kindergarten this year. He is reading and loves to learn new things. He recently learned about college and went to school and told his teacher she needed to go to college so she could get herself a better job. Good thing she loves Carter and knew he only meant the best.

Carson is doing good at per-school/daycare. He is learning to write his name. We found out this week that he is going to be getting glasses. He is not happy about it but he will get use to them soon. I just hope he doesn't break them once a week. He is going to be so handsome in his glasses though. I will be posting pictures of them.

Corey and I are just busy working and trying to keep up with the boys. We are loving our new house still. I realized that I need to take more pictures of the boys and what they are doing. I have been slacking lately.

Carter's Christmas Program

Last Friday Corey and I went to Carter's first Christmas program. They had it during the school day. Instead of having one big program they had 2 or 3 classes perform at a time. I liked it because we got to see Carter really good. Carter's class only has 14 students. I took the video with my camera instead of the video camera. They looked fine on the camera but they are really dark now that I have them on the computer. I am sorry about that. I hope you like the songs as much as I did.

Another House Picture

Here is a picture of the outside of our house. We haven't gotten out porch or deck added on yet so I haven't taken a whole house shot. We have a black front door and shutters. I really like the outside.

Totally Random Post

Carter is loving Kindergarten. I am so happy. I was a little worried that he wouldn't like school and that he would not want to go. He is jumping out of the van every morning. He is learning so much. Every Tuesday is library day. This is the book Carter came home with yesterday. LOVE IT!

We are slowly but surely getting our new house put together. I am having a hard time deciding what I want to put on the walls. There are so many decisions that need to be made. We bought some wood shelves to put next to our TV. We got them to hold the electronics but I wanted some decorative items on them too. I love crafts and I saw the idea for the square art so I made one for our house.
I really like the "dead flower" arrangement. I am not sure what they are exactly, but the boys love calling them the dead flowers.

We still have pictures to put up on the walls. When I get that done I will take more pictures. At least you got a little peak at our new house.

Where Does the Time Go???

We had some fun this summer and I cannot believe that it is already September (in a few hours). I have been super busy and so I haven't posted anything for quite sometime. I will not go into detail about everything I will just give you the highlights.

We have a splash park in out town now and the boys LOVE it. They could play there for hours. It has been so hot here and this is just what we needed.

I got to spend an entire week with these girls.
And these girls.
And these girls too.
Man I had a great time with the girls at camp. It reminded me so much of the fun times I had at camp as a young woman.

I also went to Utah to visit my family. We got to go to one of my favorite places to eat there. Thanks Grandma!!! I have more pictures of my trip home but I couldn't choose which ones to post. I always love going to visit the family.
But mostly I have been doing this. Yes that is right I have been working a ton.

*we also moved and I hope to take some pictures and post them soon.

Carter's Preschool Graduation

Carter graduated from preschool last Wednesday. He was super excited. He has gone to the same preschool/daycare for the past 4 years. He has done really good there. At the graduation ceremony they had little caps and gowns for each child to wear. The teacher also had a little diploma for each child. Carter was in heaven. He graduated with two of his best friends. Unfortunately, Carter and his best friends will all go to different schools next year. I cannot believe that he is going to be in kindergarten already. Where did the time go??

Funnies!!!

Carson is saying some super funny things lately. I wanted to post them so I wouldn't forget.

Carson just learned his whole name. He was going around telling everyone his "new" name. At church last week a few ladies were talking about Alice in Wonderland and I guess Carson got confused. He was going around telling everyone his name was Carson Alice. (His middle name is Allen just in case you didn't know.)

When Carson hurts someone's feelings instead of saying sorry he says, "it's ok, I like you hair cut." I'm not sure where this came from, but I think it is super cute.

He loves magic tricks right now. He always has us close our eyes so he can make things disappear and reappear.

If I ask him to go and get me something he always comes back with it hidden. He smiles really big and says, "Mommy I have a prize for you." Then he will give me the item. He is such a sweetheart sometimes.

Every coin he finds is his lucky penny!!!

What I Want To Do Today!

**** Just to update you I have finished all of the things on my list, except I didn't get the valentines in the mail. However, they are ready to be mailed. I am super happy with my results.****

I have had a long to do list for quite sometime now. Today is my day off and I am going to get some of the list checked off. I want to share the list so that I will be more likely to get it done.

1. laundry (impossible to finish, but I can dream right)

2. Go through the boys clothes and get out things that are too small

3. Get the items ready for the church yard sale

4. Plan a YW activity for tonight

5. Make the boys each a St. Patty's day shirt

6. Mail my sister and mom their valentine's day cards (really late, I know)

7. Return the dish that a friend let us barrow (it was full of enchiladas when we got it)

8. Clean the bathroom

Wish me luck! I will let you know how I did tomorrow.

Confessions!

A few of my friends have been doing confession posts lately and so I thought I would join in.

*I hate calling people that I don't know. This includes doctor and dentist offices.

*I have been known to pay people to make calls for me.

*I wouldn't be married to my husband if Alice would not have asked for him the first 2 times I called him.

*I do, however, enjoy calling the help desk at work.

*I recently caused a "scene" about calling said help desk. I said I would never call again. The reason? I am feeling unappreciated.

*My cell phone hardly ever rings.

*The last text message I got was on the 17th.

*I try to call my mom at least once a week.

*It makes my day when my husband calls me at work, even if it is just to ask me to bring home something to eat.

*
Before I moved to Texas, Corey and I spent hours and hours on the phone. Now our phone conversations are super short and to the point.

*I love to talk on the phone while I am driving. It drives my husband nuts.

So there you have it now you know that I have phone issues. Think what you want, but it helps make me who I am.

Why We Run Out of Toilet Paper!

I have often wondered why we run out of toilet paper so fast. I found out last night. Carson said he had a broken arm and needed a cast. I wonder how many times he has done this before. He did it all by himself. He is super silly.

The Game of Life Twists and Turns

Carter got The Game of Life for Christmas. He loves it. I mean really loves it. He wants to play it every night. It is crazy. I admit that I like the game too. I usually play it with him every night. At first I thought he was to young for it but he really seems to understand how the game works and he is learning so much. Our family loves playing this game and we recommend it to anyone looking for a fun family game.

Just in case you were wondering what we have been up to. Now you know.

Christmas Pictures!

Here are the Christmas pictures of the boys. They got them taken at school and I think that they turned out great. We have had them for a couple of weeks but I wanted to make sure my mom got some before I posted them here.

*FYI the pictures were taken by Sam's Studio in San Antonio. We also purchased the copyright so we can use them how we want to.

Kids Say Some Funny Things!

I wanted to post some of the funny things my kids have said. I don't want to forget them and I think you guys will like them to.

Me: Carson lets go we are going to be late for school.
Carson: Mom school boring.
Me: What in the world? You are only 3 and at your school all you do is play how can that be boring?
Carson: School boring. I stay here and eat donuts and watch Nick Jr. Bye Now.
Notice what he is watching in the picture. His new thing is making funny faces.

We were driving in Dallas/Fort Worth near all of the tall buildings. Mind you there is only like 3 or 4 buildings over 2 stories in our town.
Me: Look at all the cities.
Carter: Where?
Me: Out the window.
Carson: Is that Tokyo???
How does my three year old know about Tokyo?

When we were leaving for school one day my sister-in-law was saying goodbye to her daughter. Carson love to be a part of everything.
Lindsey: Bye Bye Kaelyn.
Kaelyn: Bye
Carson: Hey stop that.
Lindsey: She is getting so big.
Carson: Oh look at her she is soooooo biiiiiig.
Me: (Laughter)
Carson: She is just sooooo sweet she melts my heart.
Really, where does he come up with this?

Carter loves to go to The Great "Foot" Lodge. I makes me laugh because he can say wolf but when he says the whole name it come out like that.

What We've Been Doing

I thought I would take a minute and post a few pictures from our recent vacation. We went to the Great Wolf Lodge. We have taken several trips there and we love it so much we keep going back. It is a great place for families. If you ever have a chance to go to one of their locations I would highly recommend it. The indoor water park makes for a fun year around destination. The boys just love the bedtime story/show in the lobby. You wear your pj's and then you get have your picture taken with Willey (the mascot).

This year while we were there we went across the street to the Gaylord Texan. They have a really neat event called ICE. This year the theme was The Grinch. They recreated tons of scenes from the original Dr Seuss book all out of ice. It was only 9 degrees in the building so they gave us parkas to wear. They even had an ice slide. I want to make going to ICE a family tradition.

My First Time Digi Scraping

So my sister helped me figure out how to digi scrapbook. Here is my first attempt.
