We went to Denny's for dinner (kids eat free Saturday). On the way home Carter saw a police car that had pulled someone over. This is the conversation that followed.
Carter: Mommy I saw a police car.
Me: Oh wow.
Carter: Mommy I saw a police man.
Me: Really.
Carter: Mommy, what are they doing.
(The cop had started searching the car that was pulled over. We were also stopped at the worlds longest street light.)
Me: He is looking in his car.
Carter: Why?
Me: Because he is looking for something.
Carter: Oh no the police man is going to take that ones snacks. He is going to be really sad when the police man takes his snacks. Then he is going to be really really really hungry. That is very sad.
Me: What are you talking about.
Carter: The police man is going to take the snacks. That is what they are looking for right.
I just had to laugh. He was very concerned for the "victim" and his "snacks."

Beautiful blog!
Aren't those conversations priceless some days? I had a conversation with Jordan this week about police officers and emergency vehicles. He saw one going by fast with lights on and told me it was because they were in a race and he was so happy he was winning. Ahh the way these little minds work!
I want some "snacks!" ;)
Unfortunately, Carter, the police man seems to have taken his source for the munchies.
