Car 2 liked the wrapped packages better than the toys that were inside.
There were tons of gifts (that is because there are tons of people)
So here it is December 16th and I have only purchased one Christmas gift. Yes I know Christmas is in less than ten days, but I am at a loss for what to get people. I also have been so busy working that I really have not had that much time to get things yet. I really do not know what I am going to do about this problem that I am having. I just hope that by some miracle my children will have some presents to open on Christmas morning. Please wish me good luck.
I was tagged by my sister-in-law Jennie to tell you a few things about myself. The rules are to: 1. put up the instructions 2. tell 6 things about myself 3. tag 6 people to do the same.
So those were the instructions here are a few things about me.
1. I love to quilt or make crafty things. I am not as good as I would like to be but I am working on it.
2. I am working a ton of hours. I am doing this so I can pay off our bills so we can save money for a house of our own.
3. I have a husband that is now and attorney. We also have the two most awesome boys in the world. They are 3 and 1. They are my world.
4. I always have a basket of clean laundry ready to be folded in my tv room. It doesn't matter if it stays there for a day or a week I always end up having at least one basket all the time. I work so much I hardly have time to fold clothes.
5. I want to go on another cruise. I have been on two and I want to go on another one. This time I would like to go with a group of people. That way there would be more people to do things with.
6. I want thanksgiving to be over because we are so busy at work it isn't even funny. I work at a grocery store and if you could only imagine how much food people are buying right now than maybe you can understand what I am talking about.

Here are a few pictures from our halloween night. We had a little pirate and a scary viking. The last picture is the viking and his pumpkin. Helping him carve it was such a fun experience (Dad did most of the work).
Car 2's surgery went very well yesterday. When we first got there they were talking like they might not do the surgery because the little guy had a bit of diaper rash. The Doctor came in and took a look and said he was fine for surgery. The procedure lasted a little over two hours. Dr. Leslie also only had to do two of the three procedures he was planning on doing. Once he did the chordee release it made the urethra opening go into place. That was a blessing because otherwise Car 2 would have had to have a catheter for a week.
Another bit of great news is Corey passed the bar exam. He will be able to practice law soon. He has to wait for his license and the swearing in. He was so relieved to see that he passed. We have been so blessed the past few day. I am so grateful for all the prayers that were said in our behalf. Thank you all.
Just one year ago this tiny bundle came to join our family. Now he is one and has caught up to other children his age.
We had a full day today. On Thursday Car 2 turned one and on Sunday Car 1 turns 3. We started today with house cleaning and such. At lunch time we went to McDonald's Playland. We had lunch and the two Car brothers had a great time playing. After we finally got Car 1 off the playground we went to the grocery store and got all the items for a huge party. In the evening some family came over and we had a nice party. Lots of food and toys what more could anyone ask for. I was going to include some picture but the photo uploader is currently down so I will put them on as soon as the problem is fixed. By the way I got a new camera so I should be able to post more pictures.
Today we went to see the Yamato Drummers. It was such an awesome show. They are a group from Japan and they are on a world tour. This show was unlike anything I have ever experienced. You can feel the music with your whole body. I am so glad we decided to fork out $50 each to go. Corey, Skyler, Jayce and I went. Usually the group does not play for "small" groups. However a group of people from Kerrville heard they were going to be playing in Houston and Dallas and between the two cities the group had a break. The Kerrville people paid the group a sum of money so they would come and play in the Calioux Theatre. The theater only seats about 300. If you ever hear that this group is coming to your area I would recommend that you go. It is well worth the price. Next I think we are going to see the Shaolin Warriors from China. The Kerrville arts foundation is having a global season with many groups from around the world.Hypospadia, for those of you who don't know, is a rare birth defect that causes the opening of the urethra to be in the wrong place. In really bad cases the opening is at the bottom of the penis or on the scrotum. It also causes other problems with the penis.
We took our little Car 2 to the urologist this last week. We found out that he does have a very mild case of hypospadia. His urethra opening is just a little low and a little bigger than normal not anything too serious. He is having surgery on November 1st to correct the hypospadia and get a circumcision. The doctor told us the surgery will last about 2 hours. In preparation for the surgery Car 2 has to get 2 testosterone injections.
I am worried about my little Car 2. I know that the surgery will be a good thing for him to have. They say he will be 100% normal after the surgery if everything goes as planned. I just remember how small he was when he was born and I still kind of think of him as tiny even though is catching up. So please keep him and our family in your prayers.
Well it has been awhile since I have had anything I felt was blog worthy. I did however get my hair dyed brown and red. I will really have to take a picture of it to do it real justice but anyway. I was a model for a hair workshop for my friend and hair girl Julie. She works at a salon and they had a really gay guy come from California to teach them new coloring techniques. Julie asked if I would be her model because I needed to get my hair colored and because it was free I agreed. Now my hair is a crazy red on top and brown on the bottom. I like it and so does my husband so I guess that is all that matters. We are going out of town today to take little Car 2 to the urologist. We are hoping for good news that his hypospadia will be easily fixed or that it is not hypospadia at all. Anyway when we return I will let y'all know.
I hate physical therapy. I hurt my knee a few months ago and I finally went to the doctor. She told me I have a torn some cartillage and that if I go to physical therapy I may be able to get by without surgery. So not wanting to have surgery I agreed to therapy. Well it is not really that bad until the day after I have been and then my knee hurts worse than when I went in. I load up on aleve and my knee starts feeling better then it is time for my next appointment. I just hope that after 6 more weeks the doctor will tell me I don't need surgery.
My husband and I thought that this was so cute. We were in our bedroom getting dressed and the 2 Car brothers were in their room playing. We heard Car 1 yelling at his little brother say stuff like don't do that, stop it, and then just noooooo. Well, I thought that was funny, but then all at once Car 2 yells AAAAHHHHH. Before we could go see what was going on Car 1 was in our room saying my brother yelled at me. I was so cute and my husband and I just laughed about it all day.

Well now you have it, everything you need to know about me. I have not had a day off of work since I got home from Utah. I have been meaning to post some of the pictures I will do that soon so keep looking for them.
I thought I would just give everyone a little update on our family. CCD took his bar exam last week. He feels pretty good about it but mostly he is just glad to be done studying. He has to wait until November to find out if he passed. He is going to work for his dad and put out resumes between now and November then he will see what the next step will be.
I am just working forever working. It seems like that is all I do sometimes. I work at home and then go work at work. We are having some fun at Albertson's right now. It is Hawaiian days. We decorated the whole store and we get to dress in Hawaiian shirts. I am also getting ready to go to Utah for a vacation. I can't wait. We are driving our new van so that will be a fun thing. (I hope).
Car 1 is staying up to late and then when it is time to wake up for day care he is too tired. He is so funny. I put him in the car and drive him to day care he stays awake the whole time (it is a 25 mile drive). When we get to the school then he starts saying "Take me home I tie-red" "I go sleep cause I tie-red." It is so cute. I usually carry him in and he sometimes cries, but when we go to pick him up he cries and says he wants to stay forever.
Car 2 is now 9 months old. We took him to the doctor last Monday and he is now in the 25 % for his height and in the 10 % for his weight. He is 17 lb and 7 oz. The doctor is pleased at the rate he is growing even if it seems slow. The doctor also said his asthma is doing so much better is now only on one medicine a day. Car 2 is finally getting his 1st tooth.
All in all everything is going great. We are looking forward to our trip and hope we get to see everyone while we are there. See ya soon.
Corey will be taking his bar exam on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this coming week. I am sure he is ready to have it behind him. He has been doing nothing but studying now for the past 8 weeks. From morning till night he is sitting at the dinning room table reading or listening to old bar lectures and taking notes. I am sure he will do fine, but if you wouldn't mind keeping him in your prayers these next couple of days I would really appreciate it. We will let you know how things went in November (he has to wait that long to see if he passed).

The vehicle kind of car just so you know. We bought a 2001 Honda Odyssey on Saturday. I have wanted a mini van for a little while now and we have been looking for the past two months or so. We finally found one that we liked that was in our price range. I will definitely post some pictures of it as soon as it stops raining long enough for me to take some.
Today the 2 Car kids have been playing hard and sleeping good. It is fun to see the boys playing together a little bit. CCD's dad got Car 1 a keyboard. He loves it. He pretends to play it and he sings in the attached microphon
e. I was shocked to see him sharing with his brother. After the Car 2's American Idol moment he had a great pillow fight with his dad and grandparents. I hope that will get him to bed at a descent time. My trick lately is taking him in the pool an hour or so before bed. He is so wild in the pool (I will have to get pictures) when he comes inside he falls right to sleep. Today however the weather did not cooperate. It rained so hard I had to pull over because I couldn't see anything. For the most part Car 2 is really easy to get to sleep. I usually just put him in his bed and that is it. Sometimes he gets tired before that, today he fell asleep while sitti
ng up on the couch. I am glad to have my camera working for the moment. I put a little duct tape on it and it seems to work fine. I know you might be a redneck.... but I really don't care. Car 2 is sitting up sooo good now. He is having more fun playing with his toys now that he can sit up. Car 2 is trying really hard to crawl. He gets up on his hands and knees and just sits there. Then he gets on his belly and spins. I am sure it wont be long before he is movig on hisown. Car 1 is not going to be happy about it at all. Car 2 already is getting into his toys. All in all things here are going good. I am having a great time raising my 2 Car kids . I hope you enjoy these pictures of my boys as much as I enjoyed taking them. Car 1 has a very dirty shirt on in the keyboard picture. He is a huge ice cream fan and his flavor today was chocolate. He seemed to get more on his shirt than in his mouth but, oh well. You're only a child once right. I remebered a story about
Car 1 and another of his favorite things. On Tuesday I was taking him to day care, he had not been in a little over a week so I thought I would sweeten the deal. I told him if he went that I would stop at the gas station and buy him some powederd donuts. Well he agreed on donuts right away. We drove the 22 miles to the gas station and we got his donuts, then we drove the 2 more miles to the day care. When we pulled up outside the day care Car 1 started crying. I asked him what was wrong and he said the didn't want to go to school he just wanted donuts. He begged me to take him home. I being the "mean" mom that I am (and the fact that I was going to be late for work) made him go in. He cried some but he got playing with the other kids and forgot that he wanted his dad.

the world to experience the magic of what they simply call “Kerrville”. The Festival is known internationally as a Mecca for singer songwriters of varying musical style. It’s a place where those just developing their skills have the opportunity to play their music along- side master craftsmen. For the outsiders it seems like a bunch of aging (and young) hippies running around town for 3 weeks. I know it says it is only 18 days but by the times they get here to set up and then get cleaned up at the end it is 3 weeks. They all seem very nice they are just a little on the s
trange looking side. I work at Albertson's and they flock to our store (it is the closest grocery store to the ranch). We welcome all the extra business. At the store we try to look past the hairy armpits and the next to nothing clothes that some of them have. I remember the first year that I lived here during the Folk Fest I had to be reminded not to stare at the "white people dreads". 
Last year was the first year that I took a drive to the ranch. I was wondering what it was like up there, 18 days living in a tent, and it always rains during the Folk Fest. It was really quite different than anything I had ever seen.
There were people of every walk of life. There were doctors, teachers, lawyers, and free spirits all camping and working together all because they each had a love for the same music. Working at Albertson's is how I know what they do back home. Like I said they are all very friendly and they like to tell us about themselves. Most of the hippies that I met are regulars. There is this guy Larry (I thought I had a picture but I guess not) that comes every year and he is in his 60's he has a long long beard and he wears a skirt. Yes that's right a skirt. He is a very nice man though. Well I guess this is the end of my Folk Fest blog I just wanted to tell you guys about it and I had to include the pictures so you would understand a little about what these people are like. And yes they are hippies they sit around and drink and smoke pot alot of the day. I just don't understand the weather sometimes. I don't know why I am surprised because the weather people don't seem to be able to understand it either. Here in Texas we have been having some very strange weather lately. It goes from hot and very humid one minute to dark and stormy the next and then just a few minutes the sun is out and its blazing hot. We have had tons of floods. It seems like about every two weeks or so we get a bad enough rain storm to flood the streets and close roads. There have even been several people killed. I am currently sitting at my computer listening to the rain getting worse and worse by the second. Earlier today my little family went to friends from works grandson's birthday party. We all sat outside had a BBQ. We were all so hot we could barely stand to eat. It was fun. Poor Car 1 thought that the presents were for him and he hit the birthday boy when he tried to take one of the presents.
I had my husband help find the pictures on our computer. Now I am able to post pictures. My only problem now is the pictures I have on the computer are not very recent and my camera is broken, again. Any way the picture of my boys was taken in January during our "bad" snow storm. We were stuck at home for almost three days. I know from the picture that it doesn't look that bad, I am from Utah . However this part of the country does not see snow very often and so there are always tons of bad wrecks and stuff. Also the roads froze solid and there was no way to get salt on them. We just had to wait till it melted. Well here are my most recent pictures that I have on my computer. I will try to get new ones soon.
Well here goes nothing! I have been looking at blogs for sometime and it looks like I have finally been sucked in. I am not real sure what to put on here but, here goes nothing!
I am the mother of 2 "Car kids" my sons names are Carter and Carson. I will call them Car 1 and Car 2. Car 1 is 2 1/2 and Car 2 is 7 months. They are a hand full. They are both at different stages and it is hard to keep them both happy at the same time. Car 1 wants to play outside as much as possible. While Car 2 is trying to master rolling over and crawling so playing outside for him is not very fun (we live in the country on a ranch). Car 2 also has asthma and allergies that make being outside difficult for him. We make do.
I am the wife to a now law school graduate. Corey (CCD from now on) graduated from law school on Saturday. Now we just have to let him do nothing but study from now until he takes the bar exam at the end of July. After the bar exam CCD plans to open a practice here in town and we are going to build a house at the ranch.
