Happy Birthday Corey!!

My dear husband, Corey, turns 30 today. I wish I had a picture to share with everyone but my old computer died and we have yet to get the pictures off of it. I would take a new picture but he is still sleeping. I will try and get some pictures of the party.

Happy Birthday Corey!

Country living!!

I know that I live in the country and all but I was reminded of it this morning while I was driving my boys to daycare. I saw such strange things.

Tons of cows and goats (not out of the ordinary)
A turtle crossing the street
A girl riding a horse on the highway
A truck pulling a horse trailer but inside was a zebra
2 fruit stands
Several unidentifiable roadkills
And a tractor taking up the whole road going only like 15 mph

I see some of these things daily but today it just seemed like all of them were around and it made me long for normal city life. Then I thought how neat it was that my boys can see those things close up everyday (except the roadkill). Car 2 get so excited every time he sees a cow and it is the cutest thing. We have tons of room for the boys to run and play it is a great experience for them to have while growing up.

New Beds!

The boys got new bunk beds on Saturday. It took most of the day to get them put together. Yes the boys thought that they needed to help us. It was a fun family project. I was really surprised that the beds could come in such a small box. (We got them from Ikea). Car 1 loves his top bunk with the tent and Car 2 is actually sleeping on his new "big boy bed." My next project is to make them some blankets and pillow cases for the new beds. I got the fabric today and I LOVE it. I will post them when I get finished.

Also we are going to Utah soon. We would love to see everyone. Just let us know if you have time and we will make plans.

Baby Kaelyn

We took care of Baby Kaelyn while her parents went out for their anniversary. While they were gone we had a photo shoot with her. She was a good model and let me take tons of pictures most of which she didn't smile for. These are a few of my favorites. Car 1 was helping me and Car 2 was crying. I think that he was a little jealous.

A Car 1 Funny!

I just have to share a funny conversation that Car 1 and I had yesterday. At day care Car 1 made his dad a key chain and card.

Me: Bean (one of his nicknames) are you going to give daddy his key chain?

Car 1: No its mine.

Me: No you made it for Daddy. Remember Miss Celia said you are suppose to give it to daddy.

Car 1: No I made it for me. It is mine. I love it.

Me: Daddy is going to be sad if you don't give him his present.

Car 1: So I will be sad if I have to give it to him. I love it. Its mine.

Me: Bean you should give it to Daddy.

Car 1: No

Me: Yes

Car 1: No

Me: Yes. I said so and I am the mom. (Yes I pulled the mom card.)

Car 1: I said no and I the Bean.

At that point I just started laughing and told him to keep his key chain and I would get his daddy something else for Father's Day. I tell you my son is getting bigger and smarter everyday.

6 Years!!

Six years. Yes, six years, that is how long Corey and I have been married. I cannot believe that it has been that long. It feels like only a year or two. He is a great husband and I am glad that I have him. I wish I had a picture of us together so I could post it. My scanner isn't hooked up yet or I would scan a wedding picture. Anyway here is to many many more years together.

Watercolors!!!

I got my boys some watercolors the other day. I like for them to have things to do when they get home from day care. They seem to be cranky when I just let them do their own thing. I don't know if it is because they are use to having planned activities or if they just want me to sit with them and spend time with them. We had a great time water coloring. I think that my kids are really into food because everything that Car 1 painted was a food item (or at least that is what he told me they were). Also as you can see in both of these pictures they both had to taste the paints to see if they were good. Car 1 is above tasting the paint brush. Car 2 is below getting plenty of paint on his fingers before he puts them in his mouth. Good thing the paints are non-toxic. What fun things have you guys been up to?
