Hill Country Christmas!!

A few days ago our family went to Schlitterbahn. For those of you who don't know Schlitterbahn was voted best water park in America by the travel channel. Schlitterbahn was having "Hill Country Christmas." They had lights everywhere. There was ice skating, sledding, a hay maze, and "snow." We got four free tickets from someone at my work. Since Carson doesn't need a ticket we took our niece, Madison. The kids had a blast. Their favorite thing was the "snow" it looked real but it was just bubbles. I added tons of pictures so you could see some of the fun. They also had pictures with Santa, Frosty, Rudolph, and the Schlitterbahn mascot. Carson would not get near any of the characters. The kids had fun playing at the park and on the blow up slides and stuff that was set up too. The weather was perfect. We didn't even have to wear our jackets.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

Picnic Fun

A couple of days ago the boys and I had a fun picnic. I got up to take the kids to day care so I could get some laundry done without their help. When I got to the van I realized that the battery was dead. Corey and I tried to jump start it with no luck. I decided to let the boys stay at home with me. Even though it is December the weather was beautiful so I let the boys play outside. They were having such a great time I couldn't get them inside to eat lunch. I got a blanket and their food and they had a picnic. They thought it was so fun. Now they want to eat all their meals outside.
After the picnic the boys had races up and down the new sidewalk in front of our house. (We just got a new porch and walkway.)
When I got the kids ready for daycare they both had on jeans, but when they knew they were not going they went in and took them off. Carter put on some shorts and Carson just went without.

I just love these boys!!!!!

SOOOO Much Fun!!!!

We had such a great time on our mini vacation. We were gone three days and two nights. The hotel was amazing. It is less than a year old so everything is really nice still. We went during the week so it was not crowded at all. It almost seemed like we were the only ones in the whole place. The boys were very good on the long drive up there. They even slept a little. When Corey went to check-in the desk clerk asked if he wanted to upgrade to a childrens suite. Corey asked how much it would be to upgrade because when we booked our trip the childrens suite was a lot more money. The clerk said that it would be no charge. We upgraded to a childrens suite. The boys were so excited. So was I. We got the wolf den suite. The kids had a "wolf den" that had bunk beds and their own tv.

The water park was just as cool as I had hoped it would be. They had a little kids area with tons of stuff for them to do. They had another part for kids and adults that had tons of water shooting out of everywhere imaginable. It came complete with a huge bucket that is filled with 1,000 gallons of water then dumps out and drenches everything and everyone under it. They had a wave pool. They had about six big water slides and four kiddie water slides. Car 1 wants to live at the water park.

The hotel also had a game called magic quest. You buy a magic wand and get a quest book. The quests in the book take you all around the hotel looking for things and interacting with the hotel decor. You use your wand on the pictures and they change. The kids loved using their wands to make the pictures and stuff come to life. To be honest I think I was having as much fun as they were.
Did I mention how well the boys slept after playing in the water park and then running all over the hotel doing quests. Well they slept so good.

I just really like this picture of Car 2.

I'm So Excited

I am going here.

We are leaving tomorrow. When we get home I will post some pictures and let you all know how much fun we had.
If you can't tell from the pictures it is a hotel with an indoor water park.

Trunk or Treat

Here are some pictures from our church Halloween party. The kids had a blast. The hit item was the bouncy castle. I wish I would have taken a picture of them jumping in it. There is even a picture of me. I dressed up as a banana.

He's 4!!!!!

Car 2 is 4 years old. I can't believe it. Where has the time gone. It seems like only a little time has past. My first born is growing up to be such a fun little boy. He is so sweet. He is always telling us he love us and he says his brother is his best friend.

Happy Birthday Bean.

Look Who's 2!!!

That's right Car 2 is now 2. We celebrated last night at his favorite place in the world. Chuck E. Cheese's. He just loves that place it has everything he wants food and games.

Car 1 had fun as well. He got to open his presents there also. His birthday is on Tuesday. We had planned to do both parties at once but Car 1 insisted on having his party at home. So we are going to have a small family thing on Tuesday.

This is Car 2 having a great time with his favorite gun game. He puts coins in and plays them both at once.

Chuck E. Cheeses was super crowded. At one point I lost track of Car 2 I didn't know where he went and it seemed everyone else lost track of him too. I found him just like this. He was watching all the people play skee balls.

I guess my kids like to climb because Car 1 was found climbing on the basketball game just a few minutes later.

Car 2 is a tiny bit short for his age and has been wearing 12 month jeans but I decided to try him in 18 months size. Well as you can see from the above picture they came off pretty easy. He was climbing up the jungle gym and he was standing on his pants. They just kept getting lower and lower on him. Just as he was going into the tunnel at the top I saw his pants fall off. I tried to get Car 1 to go and help him but you know how well 3 year olds listen sometimes. A nice little boy chased Car 2 around the tunnels carrying his pants until Car 2 finally took them back. I tried to get his pants back on but he just ran off to play some more.

All in all I think that he had a great birthday.

He has an appointment with the doctor on Wednesday so I will post about that after we go.

Car 1 says the funniest things sometimes. This week it was homecoming for the local high school. On Thursday night they had a parade that went down town. I had forgotten all about it and had asked Corey to bring home pizza. Well I guess that he had to go this really round about way and he was kind frustrated when he got home. Here is the conversation that we had when he got home.

Corey: (annoyed) What was with the parade down town?

Me: Oh it is Tivy's homecoming parade.

Corey: (annoyed, Tivy was his high schools rival) Brother.

Car 1: (trying to sound annoyed) I hate parades.

Me: You have never been to a parade.

Car 1: I still hate parades.

Me: Car 1 they throw candy at parades.

Car 1: (sounding interested) Oh.

Corey: It is always the nasty kind of candy. Plus parades are just out dated.

Me: What do you mean out dated?

Corey: Like they would have been fun before TV or video games.

Car 1: Mom I just hate parades.

After that I just gave up.

Wish I had a Picture!!!!!

Car 1 is getting so big. He likes to make his own chocolate milk. He climbs up and get a glass out of the cupboard. He gets the gallon of milk out of the fridge. He is even getting big enough to pour the milk into the glass. I make him let me put the nesquick in because he puts toooooo much. I can't believe that he is getting so grown up and independent. A few days ago while Car 1 was getting himself some chocolate milk the funniest thing happened. He got his cup out of the cupboard and poured his milk into it. I think he must have been planning on putting the chocolate in himself because up to this point he had not told me he wanted chocolate milk. I was in the other room cleaning and he came running in and he was really upset. He kept saying "My milk that thing is in my milk." I had no idea what he was talking about. I started asking him questions because I had no idea he had milk. He was starting to cry and he kept saying "The thing on the window is in my milk." I could not figure what the heck he could be talking about. By now I decided to go in the kitchen and find out what was going on. When I got there I saw his cup on the counter and the gallon of milk was sitting on the floor. I asked him what was going on and he said that he was scared of his milk. I looked in his cup carefully because I didn't know what was in there or where it came from. I found a gecko floating in his glass of milk. I really wished that I had my camera. Right now there are quite a few geckos around our yard and sometimes they get into the house. I guess it must have been in the glass and he just didn't see it before he poured the milk in. Poor Car 1 is now a little afraid to get his own glass for chocolate milk.

Things You've Missed!

As you all know my camera got broken last Sunday. On Thursday we took it back to Best Buy to have it looked at. The good news is it can be fixed and it is covered by my insurance thing I got with the camera (for an extra $20). Now the bad news is that it will not be back in my hands for almost two weeks. I am dying. I have so many things that I want to be taking pictures of. So far you have all missed the awesome butterfly migration that is going on right now. It is crazy there are butterflies everywhere. Seriously tons of them. You also missed seeing the cute baby blanket I made for my friend to give to someone for a baby shower present. It was another rag baby quilt but it was blue, green, white, and had frogs and snails on it. I want to take pictures of my niece and the flower hair clips I made her this week (I will take pictures of that when I get my camera back). My two boys where playing so good together and I wanted a picture but no.

I just wanted you guys to know what it is you are missing out on.

The Spring!!

We have a little spring on our ranch. It is kind of far from the house but today we got in the van and drove out there. Well as far as it could go anyway. We had to walk a little way. I wanted to take the kids to see it and I wanted a chance to take some pictures of the boys. Corey drove and his brother, Sky, came along to navigate. It was so much fun. Here are some of the pictures I took.
Would you believe me if I told you the second picture is of Car 2 eating a rock. Yes he love to try and eat rocks. Don't worry after I got the picture I took the rock away. Here are some more picture just because I took a ton and want you guys to see them.

There are two different ponds at the spring the lower pond, that you can see in the picture with me and Car 2, has fish in it. They are just little minnows but the kids thought they were neat.

Corey and I decided that we need to spend more time outside on the ranch it is so big and there are a lot of things to see and do.

*2 side notes- We didn't even get any rain or wind from hurricane Ike. I was disappointed because the boys love to play in the rain and puddles. I was also glad because floods are not great. The other side note is Car 2 broke my camera when we got back from the spring so I have to take it in to get fixed or replaced. Wish me luck that it wont be gone long.

Is There A Wrong Way To Eat A Reese's??

I love Reese's peanut butter cups. I also love the ad campaign "No wrong way to eat a Reese's." The other day I gave Car 2 a peanut butter cup. Just one mind you and this is what I found when we got to our destination.

Car 2 was asleep and he had chocolate everywhere. I tell you that it looked as though he could not have gotten any of the peanut butter cup in his mouth. I never go anywhere without a box of wipes so I was able to get him clean when we got out of the van.

Note to self don't give a kid a peanut butter cup in the car on a hot day.

I Am So Mad At Myself!!

Corey and I took the boys to the county fair last night. We had a great time. They boys loved looking at the animals and the vegetables that people entered into the fair. You should have seen them on the rides. This brings me to the reason I am mad at myself. I left home without my camera. I did not get one shot of the boys enjoying their first fair. Very, very sad. Now you have to imagine the two cutest boys ever and a county fair.

I wish that I had a picture of Car 2 when he had his first encounter with a turkey. The thing was huge. The turkey was at eye level with Car 2, while he was belted in his stroller. Car 2 was enjoying the view of the birds when the turkey let out a rather loud gobble. You should have seen Car 2 freak out. He was crying and trying to get out of his stroller and away from the turkey. I couldn't get him to settle down. Finally I had to take him to see the bunnies. They seemed to be more his style cute and quiet.

We have been having a very busy time. We went on vacation for a week and I have worked everyday since I got back. I have to work everyday because on Tuesday I am going to go back to Utah for my sister's wedding.
Here is a picture of the happy couple.

When we were in Utah on vacation we did a ton of fun things.
