Car 2's Sweat Test

Today we took Car 2 for his sweat test. The test went alright. He did not like them putting the electrodes on his arms but otherwise he did good. We had to be at the hospital at 8 am and it is about 1 1/2 hours away from our house so we had to get up really early. Once we got there we had to fill out papers and wait for our turn. Finally at a little after 9 they called us back. They put a solution on Car 2's arm and then put two electodes on his arm. One was by his wrist and the other one was just above his elbow. They were hooked up to a machine that looked like a battery charger. After five minutes they took them off and taped a piece of gauze to his forearm. Then they did the other arm. When both arms were taped then we put his jacket on him to keep him from taking the tape off and to help him sweat. I'm not sure how long the gauze was on his arms but when the timer went off they used tweezers to get the gauze off and put it in what looked like a medicine bottle. The girls at the lab said that the doctor would get the results tomorrow. I am not sure if he is going to call us or if we have to wait until the next appointment to find out. I will let everyone know what the results are as soon as we find out. Wish us luck.

My Most Recent Hair Cut!

This is a not so great picture of me and my most recent hair cut. I would say new hair cut but I have had it for about three weeks now. I really like my hair short. It is so much easier to take care of. The girl that cuts my hair wanted to try this style out and I am really glad she did.

THE ZOO!!!!!

Today we went to the zoo. We had such a good time. The boys played and looked at the animals.

Car 1 loved the monkeys. This is a picture of him playing on the monkey ropes. The zoo here has a little place just for small kids. There are tons of activities for young kids. We love it.
Car 2 is watching the big turtles walking in the grass. He made the cutest face when the turtle started walking. I guess the thought it was a rock or something because he looked so surprised. Corey tried to get a picture but he turned his head.

In the tiny tots area they have a beach and river for the kids to play in. The Car brothers had a blast. Car 1 just jumped in with his clothes on. Good thing I came ready with a change of clothes. Car 2 liked playing in the sand.

Yes he is eating sand. I wanted to take his picture when he had his hand to his mouth but he moved to fast. Can you see his little farmers tan. He plays outside a ton at day care.

Here the boys are riding in their stroller together. We only took one stroller because Car 1 will only ride for a minute or two at a time. We had a long walk from the car to the zoo entrance so he decided that a ride was a good idea. We went with Lindsey and David and baby Kaelyn. Jared, Heather, and Maw-Maw met us there. It was a fun day.

I had a good time until my sandal broke. I had to walk around the zoo like that. I guess it could have been worse. All in all we had a great time.

The Girls!!!

This is a picture from my wedding. It is Alice, me, and Rookie. What an awesome day that was. I cannot believe that it was almost 6 years ago. Wow how time flies.

Cockroaches!

I am sure by now you are wondering why I have a giant picture of a cockroach on my blog. Well the reason for this is Car 2 is very much allergic to them. We took Car 2 to the asthma and allergy specialist yesterday and he did some testing and Car 2 is highly allergic to cockroaches. He has some other slight allergies other things but this is his biggest issue. I don't understand it but that is something that they test people for around here.

Next Wednesday we have to take Car 2 to the children's hospital in San Antonio and have him tested for cystic fibrosis. The doctor said that it is a very very small chance that he has it. The reason for the test is more or less just to rule it out completely. I am worried because he's my baby and that is what mothers do. At the same time I think everything will turn out all right. I'll keep you posted.

Car 2 is 18 Months!

Car 2 turned 18 months this week. He is getting big. I took him to the doctor for his well child check-up and the doctor says he is growing nicely. He is 23 lbs. 32 inches tall. He managed to get out of the doctors office without a shot because his appointment was 3 days too early. It was a hepatitis shot and they have to be given a certain number of days apart. I am sure whatever the reason Car 2 was very happy. Tomorrow we go and see the allergy and asthma specialist. I will let you know how that goes.

Also this picture is about six months old. I was taken right around Halloween last year.

BUZZ CUT!!!!

Last night I gave Car 1 a buzz cut. He looks so cute. I have been giving him buzz cuts most of his life. The last few hair cuts have been by a stylist at a salon but they usually turn out the same and I have to pay $12. I think that he looks much better with short hair. He loves his hair short but he doesn't want anyone to rub his head.

Silly Boys!!

These are my silly boys. They were playing and running around. I was trying to make pajama pants into pajama shorts. They wanted to help but I really didn't need them in my way so I told them I made them some hats. They took the legs of the pajama pants and put them on their heads. Car 2 loves the camera and made sure he was the center of all my pictures that night. I love it when my boys are silly. It makes me silly and happy too.

Car 1 and his PSP

Car 1 and his PSP. Well really it is Corey's PSP but Car 1 thinks it is his. Anyone who has kids or knows kids will tell you that letting your kid think your stuff is their stuff is much easier than trying to make them understand the truth. Car 1 is really good at the Sonic games and he also likes racing games. He is amazing with electronics.

The picture is fuzzy because there was a giant, greasy finger print on my camera lens at the time the picture was taken. I found that out when I took my camera back to Best Buy to get it fixed. All the pictures were blurry and I couldn't figure it out. Once the guy form the Geek Squad looked at it he used his shirt to clean off the lens and it works good as new now. I was kinda embarrassed.

Gross!!!

Some of my family and I tried some really nasty soda while in Las Vegas. This was some of the reactions that we had. If you ever are in Vegas go to Coke world and try the Coke sodas of the world. Some are good but #7 was gross.

Me and George

I have heard the saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." I could not let this be the case any longer. When I went to Las Vegas with my family in January, I got married. Yes that is right I had a quick Vegas wedding. I married George Clooney. I have the picture to prove it. And now that I am a rich woman I will be sending great Christmas gifts.

YUMMY!!!!!

This is me eating the best thing in the world, a Cinnabon. I LOVE those things. Every time I go to an airport I have to get one. They are heaven in my mouth.

Bean!!

Car 1 has another nickname too. His nickname is Bean. He got the nickname because the 1st sonogram I had this is what we saw (picture above). I said "Corey look that is our baby." Corey took one look and said "That isn't a baby its a bean." The name just stuck because that early we didn't know if it was a boy or a girl and we did not have a name picked out. We were getting ready to go on a cruise and Corey said "I'm not buying a ticket for the Bean." I just laughed because I was just three months pregnant. Car 1 proudly proclaims his name as Bean.

Tiny!

This is Car 2. His other nickname is Tiny. He got that nickname because when he was born, only three weeks early, he weighed only 4 lbs. Car 2 was so tiny that the name just stuck. Even the nurses at the hospital called him Tiny. He is getting bigger but the name has stuck.

It ain't easy being cheesy

This is one of my favorite pictures of Car 1. He is a little over a year old in this picture. He loves baked Cheetos. He will sit and eat a whole bag if we let him. SO SWEET!! I just love this kid.

Baby Blanket

Here is a picture of my latest project. It is a rag blanket for my friends granddaughter. The baby was born March 30th but will be in the hospital for a few weeks. The babies intestines were not inside the babies body. She had surgery minutes after birth and another one yesterday to place them inside. Both surgeries were a success. Now they just have to make sure that everything works right. After a few weeks they will let her go home. I feel like I always need a book to read and a project to work on. I will share more of my projects as they come along.

I wish I was this skinny again

I found this picture of me and I wish that I was that skinny again. I think it should be said, I was three months pregnant in this picture. I still wish I looked this skinny again. This is my goal. I am going to start a diet and exercise program today to help me get back to this.

I missed posting a picture yesterday because my computer is acting up. I think that I got a virus or something from some spam comments. Today I am making up for it by posting two pictures. These are my kids in their true forms.

Car 2 is so laid back he just kinda goes with the flow of things. He just likes to relax in his car seat and go for rides in the car.

Car 1 likes to have fun but he gets tired of things fast and he lets you know. In this picture my sister was taking tons of pictures and he was getting bored. He kept saying "That enough."

Car 2!!!

This is Car 2. He is such a sweetheart. I know that this picture is blurry but I love it. Car 2 was opening his Easter present from his grandma. He is such a happy boy. He is growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday he was just a tiny baby. Car 2 weighed only 4 lbs at birth. He is a little on the small side still but he is catching up.

Car 1!!!

Car 1 is such a cute boy. He loves junk food. In this picture he is eating ice cream. He wants donuts every morning for breakfast. He doesn't get them most mornings. He wants cookies for lunch and ice cream for dinner. He really is a good eater all in all. His teacher at day care says he eats everything they put in front of him. One day he even ate sauerkraut (the day care is in a German town). He loves his brother and wants to play with him all the time. Our Little boy is growing up I can't believe it.

Corey's Graduating Class

This is Corey's whole graduating class. Yes from college. He went to a very small university. The entire school only had 700 students. I wanted to show this picture because I am very proud of my husband and all that he has accomplished. He is a very hard worker and a great husband and dad.

Dentist/Laundry get them done at once

I must say that this is one of the most random things I have ever seen with my two eyes. Corey and I were on a cruise and at one of the ports was this Laundromat dentist. I guess you can get your clothes cleaned at the same time you get your teeth cleaned. We could not resist taking a picture of it.

A Picture A Day Until May!!!

While talking to some friends of mine I got the idea to post a different picture everyday in April. Some will be new pictures and some will be old pictures it just depends on the mood I am in that day. With each picture I will tell the story if there is one.



So lets get started.

This is the 1st picture I took with my digital camera. I got my camera for Christmas and my husbands family has a tradition of eating Christmas pancakes. It just seemed like the best way to capture the day.
